Take Your Goaltending to the Next Level
This is not just another summer camp.
GAI Slovenia Summer Week Camp 2026 takes place June 24 – June 28, 2026, in the stunning alpine setting of Bled, Slovenia — one of Europe’s most iconic and picturesque sports destinations.
Surrounded by the Julian Alps, crystal-clear Lake Bled, and fresh mountain air, Bled offers the perfect environment for focused training and summer energy. The peaceful natural setting creates an ideal balance between high-performance work on the ice and recovery off it. It’s a place where athletes can fully concentrate, reset, and grow — both as goalies and as individuals.
This camp combines high-level training, professional coaching, an international atmosphere, and an unforgettable summer experience in one of the most inspiring locations in Europe.
For those of you who will come from abroad, we will organize accomodation and afternoon activities. As every year, we will have special guests from Slovenia, Czech republic/Slovakia
There are limited spaces availabe. Reservation via REGISTRATION FORM is mandatory
About the Camp
The Summer Week Camp is dedicated exclusively to goaltenders of different ages and skill levels. Whether you’re developing your fundamentals or already competing at a higher level, this camp is built to challenge you and push your game forward.
Our coaching philosophy focuses on:
Technical precision
Efficient movement
Game situation awareness
Mental strength
Individual development
Each goalie receives personal attention and structured guidance throughout the week.
The ELITE & PRO Camp is designed for highly motivated goalies who are serious about pushing their performance to the highest level.
This year, the camp will feature two groups only: ELITE and PRO, ensuring a focused, competitive, and demanding training environment. With fewer groups, we can guarantee even more individual attention, higher intensity, and a professional working atmosphere throughout the week.
Each goalie will receive a total of 10 hours of high-intensity on-ice training, with two hours of structured ice sessions daily. Every training day is built around a specific goaltending theme, defined at the start of the camp. Sessions will focus on advanced movement efficiency, edge control, rebound control, tactical reads, situational awareness, and game-realistic scenarios.
The goal is simple: precision, speed, consistency, and performance under pressure.
Individual Development & Mental Performance
Our coaching philosophy is centered around an individual approach. Every goalie receives direct feedback, detailed technical corrections, and personal guidance from experienced professional coaches.
At the ELITE and PRO level, mental preparation is just as important as technical skill.
The camp includes educational sessions with sports psychologists Eva Kovač and Karmen Resnik, whose expertise includes:
Sports psychology
Stress management and response to pressure
Team dynamics and leadership
Psychological counseling
Cognitive-behavioral techniques
Elements of hypnotherapy
These sessions provide practical tools to strengthen focus, resilience, confidence, and competitive mindset — essential qualities for high-level goaltending.
International Coaching Staff
Goalies will work with an international team of professional goalie coaches from Slovenia and Czech Republic/Slovakia, combining different experiences and modern European and North American goalie development philosophies.
Head Coach – Peter Škrabelj
The camp is led by Head Coach Peter Škrabelj, who spent two seasons as a goalie coach at HC Slovan Bratislava and is currently in his third season in the KHL with Traktor Chelyabinsk.
During the camp, he will also deliver a professional lecture on modern goaltending positioning and tactical development, offering insights from top-level European and KHL competition. Participants will gain valuable understanding of how the position is evolving at the highest levels of the game.
Final Evaluation
At the end of the camp, each goalie will receive a detailed individual evaluation sheet outlining strengths, development areas, and recommendations for continued improvement.
This camp is built for ambitious goalies who are ready to work hard, compete at a high level, and develop in a professional and demanding environment.
