GAI Slovenia summer camp 2020 - Corona update

First and foremost, I know the past few weeks have not been easy for anyone, so I hope you are all staying safe and healthy in these uncertain times. Below is the latest update regarding the 2020 Global Goaltending Retreat and the coronavirus.

As you know this is a dynamic and ever-changing situation, so if you have any questions, please reach out and we can discuss.

As of today, April 14, the 2020 GAI Slovenia – summer camp is still on-schedule for June 24-28. We are checking in regularly about the status of the epidemic and the rink and will pass along any updates that are made regarding closures. At this time, we strongly advise guests to obtain travel insurance if and when booking flights!!

With this announcement, along with the uncertainty around international and domestic travel, I understand this may change your decision to attend this year’s camp. If this is the case, please notify me as soon as possible! I completly understand if you choose not to come.

I will plan to send another update soon.

Obviously we will continue monitoring this situation closely and provide updates when we get them, but that’s all for now. Otherwise, stay safe out there and feel free to message me anytime.

Best regards,

Peter Škrabelj

GAI Slovenia head coach

GAI Slovenia - Christmas camp 2019

Hi goalies!!!

Camp will take place at amazing Bled on 14.12.2019 & 15.12.2019!!

There are limited spaces availabe. Reservation via REGISTRATION FORM is mandatory!!!

GAI Slovenia trains goalies from youth to professional level through private lessons, goalie clinics, one or two days camps and at our MAIN EVENT Summer week camp’’, where goalies and coaches from around the world gather together, train and share information and prepare for upcoming season. We put a lot of focus on each goalie, so that every minute on the ice is designed to make you better.

CHRISTMAS CAMP is suitable for goalies of all ages. Each goalie will spend 4 hours on ice – 2 hours of intense ice practice daily. Each day will feature specific drills designed to improve a specific aspect of goaltending set at camp start.

We are teaching goalies with an individual approach by professional and experience goalie coaches. On these events, we are focused not only on professional skills but also on mental training and preparations in which we are offering educations with sports psychologists such as Eva Kovač and Karmen Resnik. Their work includes sports psychology, team dynamics, team building, psychological counseling, stress and response to stress, and also methods regarding hypnotherapy and in cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy.

All our coaches are professional goalie coaches.

See you in December 🙂

GAI Slovenia - Summer camp Bled 2019 - day 1

GAI Slovenia – Summer camp Bled 2019 – day 1

After long preparations, the 5th goalie camp GAI Slovenia started to take part in Bled today. Many new goalkeepers from abroad and from Slovenia joined us this year. 50 young goalies eager for knowledge and new experiences, will practice for 5 days under the watchful eyes of 14 coaches from Slovenia and Czech republic. On the opening day, Slovenian national team players Rok Tičar and Matic Podlipnik, helped with their knowledge and also made the drills more chalenging for goalies. Gašper Krošelj, the no. 1 goalkeeper of the Slovenian national hockey team, helped with many tips. The surprises were a huge success and all the participants were practicing with full steam, although some were on ice just for the first time in the new hockey season.

Here is a short sneek-peek of what was going on today … enjoy 🙂

Hi goalies!!!

After a few months of planning we are extremely proud to present our brand new website Goalie academy international – Slovenia :).

You may not know it but we have been helping our goalies getting better for a few years. It’s fair to say that as a business we have been operating in stealth mode for quite some time, but now we are ready to stand up and shout about our achievements, and highlight what we have accomplished. We are a big player in the goalie coaching segment and it’s about time we started acting like it.

Since today is the first day of our annual Summer camp (we have to mention that this year we have the biggest camp so far), we think that is the perfect time to publish our new website for the first time :).

So, I invite you to take a tour around our new blog, bookmark our website & connect with us on social media (Facebook and Instagram) to stay up to date on our news. We will have a lot of news and insights to share in the coming weeks & months.
